Will Jay is a Pop Artist on the rise. Best described as pop with a sense of humor. Will mixes uptempo, fun music with a unique perspective on young adulthood. Songs like “Gangsta” and “Never been in Love” challenge society’s expectation of living in the digital age. With his colorful and whimsical style. Will strives to redefine what it means to be a man in today’s crazy world.
Will is of Chinese and German descent and his parents met in China at Beijing University. Will has been playing the piano since age 4 and is classically trained. From an early age he found a love for performing. Will started in musical theatre and transitioned into acting, landing a guest role in TNT’s The Closer and commercials for Target and Nintendo. He’s done his share of background singing with acts like Linkin Park and Josh Groban and was a member of a boy band named IM5 which performed more than 200 shows around the United States and Canada. The band even performed at the Kids’ Choice Awards in Mexico.
Now as a solo artist, “Planes Don’t Fly” is the first song coming out in 2022. The EP is called “Someone on the Internet” and each song is a little vignette inspired by someone Will has met in LA. The new direction is Beatles meets Frank Ocean – psychedelic pop songs with alternative R&b production elements that tell a story.
Will Jay combines his performing arts, original songs and covers and Q&A into a Story Telling program where he answers questions about his heritage story and connect with his heritage.
