My favorite Christmas album would have to be “Merry Christmas” by the X-Mas angel herself; Mariah Carey. I mean those songs are so great and her voice is just holier then thou. Also gotta love my boys, *NSYNC and “Merry Christmas Happy Holidays,” and of course The Lonely Island’s Christmas jingle “Dick in a Box”. My friend and fellow musician, Pete Ayres, always puts up a Christmas show in NYC. This year my band and I opened for him and played our Christmas mashup “All I Want for Christmas is a Dick in a Box”. Seeing as I have the best band in the world, they agreed to dress up like The Lonely Island, it was AMAZING. I’m hoping to record the song and do a video and maybe my Christmas wish will come true and JT will see it and like it!
A X-Mas Tradition of mine is, sometimes my friends and I are unable to go home for the holidays, so we have an Orphan X-Mas in NYC. Our tradition is, on Christmas Eve we go to one of our favorite places, Pianos and have a frozen margarita (these things are dangerous) and then we dance the night away with all the fellow NYC orphans. Although last year apparently our tradition caught wind and there was a line out the door to get into Pianos on Christmas Eve! But that didn’t stop us, we went to another bar down the block and had our own dance party. One problem is, usually on Christmas I teach a few SoulCycle classes and those are pretty special i.e.: frozen margaritas… ha!
