Recently we had a unique request for one of our popular programs, and thought it was a great idea, that spurred a few more ideas! In the past, we’ve helped package up some of our programs into unique packages that fit what is trending, like our Stranger Things Package, so today we wanted to talk about Arrow Tag and how it can fit into a themed event!

But first…Why Themed Campus Events?

A theme offers a different sort of invitation to an event. Over the years we’ve seen so many different types of events held by different colleges, based on seasonality, specific dates, awareness, etc. You’ve probably been to a few yourself. Think about winter events, spring events, or pride events. Themes help to represent something that people want to be a part of. This helps to bring people from different backgrounds together and unite them over a specific mutual interest. We recommend considering a theme when planning an event so that people understand that it’s not just any normal event, it’s something to be remembered! Think about 80s or 90s themed events, or things like disco or Gatsby, or Masquerade Ball. You’ve got to admit these are fun and unique!

So, now that we’ve covered what makes a themed event so fun, let’s talk about Arrow Tag!

Arrow Tag Gets People Involved

We offer several different types of tag games, and you’ve probably played some form of laser tag. Arrow tag offers a bit different experience, similar to laser tag or paintball, but with safe foam-tipped arrows and bows. This offers a unique experience, a competitive game, and an ability for a lot of students to participate. 

… It also offers an awesome addition to a themed event!

Arrow Tag Idea 1- The Hunger Games

We had an event planner from East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania reach out to us last month and ask about booking a couple of programs for their Hunger Games themed event, which is what spawned this blog! We thought what an interesting idea! They also requested information on our Leaps and Bounds Inflatable, which certainly could add to the fun and flavor of The Hunger Games. With the new Hunger Games book coming out this month, what better time to consider booking an arrow tag event for your students!

Arrow Tag Idea 2- Dungeons and Dragons

The only people who don’t love D&D are the unfortunate who’ve never played! Whether you’re a high-level dungeon master or you only know the game from the friends from Stranger Things, having a D&D themed event could certainly bring students together for a fun themed event. You could hold a campaign and introduce some new players to experienced players, and this could help students engage and grow new lifelong friendships. What better activity to add a bit of physicality to the event than a little (safe) archery!? 

Arrow Tag Idea 3- Lord of The Rings

LOTR may not be trending right now, but it is one of history’s most popular movie series and has a massive appeal. Many college students may consider the LOTR series nostalgically, and nostalgia is always one of the best ways to connect people from different backgrounds. Arrow tag is a perfect centerpiece for a Lord of the Rings themed event! You can also consider adding an inflatable Drive-In Movie to help show a movie and build the nostalgia and interest in your event!
