1. Jo Koy
Jo Koy pulls inspiration from his family and specifically his son. He has had two Comedy Central specials “Don’t Make Him Angry” and “Lights Out.” Jo has appeared on over 100 episodes of Chelsea Lately and has been seen on VH1, World’s Funniest Fails, The Joy Behar Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Last Call with Carson Daly and Jamie Foxx: Laffapalooza.
Jo’s newest special Live in Seattle can currently be seen on Netflix!
2. O.T. Genasis
Influenced by the likes of legends as Snoop Dogg, Tupac and Jay-Z, O.T. Genasis started to avidly pen lyrics and began formulating songs. The gutter grind eventually caught the attention of music mogul, 50 Cent, who in 2011 signed O.T. Genasis to a single deal for his track, “Jackie Chan.” The song was met with moderate fanfare and he was soon back on the streets as a free agent pounding the pavement with his new release, “Touchdown”. The record used sports as a metaphor for street jostling and found O.T. Genasis buzzing on the streets and LA’s club scene.
Now moving with the support of Busta Rhymes’ Conglomerate Ent, O.T. Genasis updated “Touchdown” with a remix featuring French Montana, Busta Rhymes and Juicy J, accompanied by entertaining visuals playing off the hit TV series, “Breaking Bad.” Months later, O.T. Genasis fast-tracked his way to superstar status by delivering one of the biggest anthems of the last decade with “CoCo.”
“CoCo” is the second single released by O.T. Genasis on Busta Rhymes’ The Conglomerate Entertainment in a partnership with Atlantic Records.
3. Haim
Haim is made up of three sister; Este Haim (bass guitar and vocals), Danielle Haim (vocals and guitar), and Alana Haim (guitars, keyboards, and vocals). The group’s first release, Forever (an EP released as a limited-time download), combined with positive reception at the South by Southwest festival, led to a deal with Polydor Records and a management deal with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation group in mid-2012.
The band began recording material for their first album, Days Are Gone, in sessions between touring dates, including appearances at the Glastonbury Festival. The album charted in the top ten in several countries, including the number-one spot in the UK, and the group had won several “best of” awards by the end of 2013. The group was nominated for Best New Artist at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards. Their second album, Something to Tell You, was released in July 2017.
