Today over 61% of young people report feeling lonely or isolated on a regular basis. That’s nearly 2 out of every 3 students on your campus. Despite wanting to connect with others, students often struggle to know what to say, let alone how to say it. 

Whether it’s making new friends, engaging in group settings, communicating with faculty, or interviewing for an internship or job, these moments often leave students feeling stuck and anxious, unsure of how to navigate social interactions. 

But what if learning how to talk to anyone was as simple as mastering a few easy conversational tricks? 

In this presentation, human connection specialist Brian Miller teaches simple conversational tricks to help students introduce themselves with confidence, remember people’s names, and ask more interesting questions. This presentation is light, interactive, and fast-paced, drawing on Brian’s background as a professional entertainer to keep students engaged while they learn.
