Lindsay Rae is an experienced speaker and professional photographer who helps individuals navigate the challenges of body positivity in all forms, including social media, media, and relationships with peers. With close to a decade of experience and nearly 800 photoshoots under her belt, Lindsay has developed proven methods for cultivating confidence and self-acceptance. She has also personally experienced the negative effects of bullying and trauma, and has developed strategies for overcoming these challenges and building resilience.
In her presentation, Lindsay draws on her own experiences and expertise to teach students about the ways in which social media and peer relationships can impact self-esteem and mental health, and provides them with practical tools and strategies for cultivating self-confidence and self-compassion while encouraging inclusivity. She also shares her own personal stories of overcoming bullying and trauma, and discusses the tricks of the beauty industry and how it often portrays an unrealistic and unhealthy standard of perfection.
From understanding the role of social media in shaping our perceptions to setting healthy boundaries, to the practice of self-talk, Lindsay’s program is designed to empower individuals to navigate all aspects of body positivity in a way that promotes self-care, well-being, and inclusivity.
