Based on the award-winning, best-selling book, The Student Leadership Challenge® by Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner, The Student Leadership Challenge Experience takes the wisdom of The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership® and nuclear-infuses it with the high-energy, engaging activities, and relevant facilitation style of Collegiate Empowerment to bring you a leadership program that will impact your student leaders like never before!
Once students have developed the mindset and skill set of personal leadership, it’s time to take that leadership to the campus. But how do you get other people to WANT to follow you, to move toward a COMMON PURPOSE, to feel ENERGIZED to work together and get things done that everyone can feel PROUD of? THIS is what The Student Leadership Challenge Experience is all about.
Serving as a signature leadership development program for all students, this experience is a dynamic and comprehensive program that is tied to a leadership assessment–The Student Leadership Practices Inventory (Student LPI)–based on decades of scientific evidence and the experiences of millions of ordinary people who accomplished extraordinary things.
This seminar experience has a 90-minute module focused heavily on your Personal Best Leadership Experience and an overview of The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership, a half-day module that adds in the ten commitments and 30 behaviors of leadership, and the full-day module that wraps up with the assessment debrief (ordered separately through Wiley). This comprehensive experience will be your entire leadership training for the year!
